Free Energy Audits for Hackney Businesses

If your business operates from a physical space in Hackney, you can access a free energy audit through our Hackney Impact partner, Green Business Action.

Energy costs remain high and many businesses are paying more than they need to. This support is designed to help you understand how your premises uses energy and where simple, realistic changes could reduce costs and waste.

Audits are fully funded and available for a limited period only. All audits must be completed by 30 March.

What the audit includes

A qualified sustainability consultant will review your business premises and provide practical, tailored advice on how to:

• Reduce energy bills

• Cut waste and carbon emissions

• Improve efficiency, whether you own or lease the building

• Identify quick wins as well as longer-term improvements

The focus is on actions that are realistic for your business and your space. There is no sales pitch and no obligation to spend money.

Audits can be carried out on site or remotely, depending on what works best for your business.

Who this is for

This support is suitable for Hackney-based businesses with physical premises, including shops, cafés, offices, studios and workshops.

You do not need to own the property to take part.

Demand for audits is strong and delivery is already underway. We are over halfway through the programme and remaining audit slots are limited.

Once the deadline passes, this support will no longer be available.

We are encouraging local residents, partners and community connectors to help us reach more Hackney businesses with physical premises.

If you know cafés, shops, studios, offices or other businesses based in Hackney that could benefit from a free energy audit, we’d love to hear from you.

If you refer 10 good-quality Hackney businesses to us, you will receive a £30 voucher as a thank-you. Referred businesses do not need to have completed an audit at the point of referral.  We will follow up directly with them.

This helps us reach more local businesses, reduce energy costs across the borough and make the most of the remaining time available to deliver the programme.
